Cosima Ross is a fine artist and painter studying a BA in painting at The University of Brighton. With a core interest in motif and iconography, her work aims to encompass expressions of chaos and fable represented in a theatrical manner.

Her current inspiration stem from MMA matches, snakes, horses and the female nude. Piecing together these reoccurring motifs Cosima can act as narrator to the unfolding scene in her paintings.

The visual language in Cosima’s work is derived from her upbringing surrounded by classical art history, her experiences with ill reproductive health and her Brothers passions for competitive Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu jitsu.
